Malaysia Airlines – Carriage of Fresh or Frozen Seafood

Effective 01st July 2016, Malaysia Airlines will not accept fresh or frozen seafood as check in baggage .

Fresh or frozen seafood may be accepted as cabin baggage but subject to the destination’s quarantine regulations. Provided that such items are properly packed and meets the cabin baggage weight and size requirements.

If dry ice is use to carry these items (in cabin baggage), a maximum of 2.5kg of dry ice per passenger is permissible. Malaysia Airlines may use its own discretion and reserve the right to refuse carriage if items not properly packed.
